It is an important way of learning for middle school students to obtain information by browsing multimedia materials. This study mainly uses eye movement experiment to explore the relations between middle school students’ choice preferences of multimedia browsing behaviors and content presentation paths, which aims to provide experimental basis for multimedia learning of middle school students. The results indicate that middle school students have eight browsing behavior preferences. (1) When middle school students browse the multimedia interface, they prefer to start from the upper left corner and end up with their browsing in the lower right corner. (2) The preference of numbering teaching contents in sequence does not change the reader's browsing order. (3) Sequence number has a certain impact on learners' browsing order and attention. (4) Students in urban schools prefer to browse the contents of district 3 in positive sequence diagonal presentation. (5) Students in rural schools prefer to browse the contents of district one in positive sequence and right turning presentation. (6) Compared with boys, girls are more concerned about the contents of district 3. (7) Students with poor grades browse the contents of district 2 and district 3 earlier. (8) Compared with girls who achieve good grades and boys with poor grades, girls with poor grades prefer to browse the contents of district 3. Based on the choice preferences of multimedia browsing behaviors, this study puts forward some suggestions for the design of multimedia learning materials and multimedia teaching.
