In order to prevent and control the novel coronavirus pneumonia, the Ministry of Education has proposed that primary and secondary schools postpone the beginning of the school year, and use online platforms to conduct online teaching. Thus, online education has become the focus of the whole society. Based on the basic principles and teaching theories of online education, combined with the connotation and influencing factors of online teaching models, and according to the relevant documents of the Ministry of Education, this study constructs an analysis model of online teaching model during the epidemic period, and systematically analyzes the cases of "no suspension of classes" from all over the country. As a result, four typical online teaching models (i.e., online synchronous live streaming, online asynchronous teaching, online double teacher collaborative teaching and online mixed teaching) are summarized and their main characteristics are also pointed out. The study also finds that there are some urgent problems to be solved, such as the misalignment of the understanding of "Internet + education", the lack of theoretical guidance for the innovation of online teaching, the need for continuous optimization of the conditions and for continuous improvement of the policy mechanism. The critical points to promote the innovation of online teaching is put forward. The analysis model of online teaching of "no suspension of classes" during epidemic prevention and control period has the characteristics of emphasizing the thinking of "Internet + education", reflecting the educational needs during epidemic prevention and control, and respecting the rules of students' home-based learning. Based on that model, the analytical dimension and connotation of online teaching during epidemic prevention and control period are systematic, normative and operable, which can be used to guide the planning and practice of online teaching. We hope that this study can effectively solve the urgent need of theoretical guidance and practical innovation of online teaching during the current epidemic of primary and secondary schools, and also provide useful reference for the sustainable and healthy development of online education in China in the new era.
